Job Description: Senior QA Tester
We are looking for a skilled Senior QA Tester to join our team on a contract basis. This role is crucial for supporting priority projects within the New York State Office of Mental Health. The Senior QA Tester will be responsible for comprehensive quality assurance activities, including building and automating test cases, triaging defects, and ensuring compliance with agency, state, and federal regulations. This position also requires the ability to assist in developing help documents for end-users and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute the entire QA process, including documentation of test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various web applications.
- Perform testing of applications on both desktop and mobile devices.
- Conduct manual testing and utilize automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium WebDriver) for functional, integration, regression, system, and ADA compliance testing.
- Perform performance testing using tools like LoadRunner and Silk Performer.
- Execute ad-hoc testing as needed.
- Develop and maintain automated regression tests using Selenium WebDriver with .Net Core for multiple applications, utilizing frameworks such as Open2Test and keyword-driven approaches across various browsers.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure project requirements are met.
- Assist in triaging defects and maintain defect logs using TFS (Team Foundation Server) / HP Quality Center.
- Analyze business needs and create user acceptance tests and appropriate documentation.
- Assist in integrating software modules into a fully functional solution and perform integration testing.
Qualifications:
- 60-84 months of experience: Candidate is able to work independently, without assistance, and provides guidance to others. May have advanced education.
- 72 months experience creating, maintaining, and running regression/automation tests with UFT (Unified Functional Testing) tool using Selenium WebDriver with .Net Core 2.0 or Java on various browsers.
- Experience with ADA compliance testing using JAWS, WAVE, and NVDA.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as LoadRunner.
- 72 months of experience with quality assurance, usability testing and analysis, using ALM QC for managing and maintaining test cases, running tests, and tracking defects.
- 72 months of experience coordinating, tracking, and analyzing testing activities, working directly with business analysts, business, and technical subject matter experts.
- Experience using defect management tools to identify, document, track, and communicate problems to technical staff.
- 72 months of experience creating test documents for user acceptance testing and experience in functional and UAT testing.
- 60 months of experience working with applications that track PHI data.
- 60 months of experience using Team Foundation Server and SharePoint.
- 60 months of experience working in an Agile development environment.
Special Requirements
Visa: USC/GC. Experience with applications tracking PHI data. Experience in an Agile development environment.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $70,000 – $100,000 per year (Estimated)
