Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior React Developer to join our team in New York City. This role is critical for our investment banking division, where high-performance, reliable, and intuitive user interfaces are paramount. With over a decade of experience, you will lead the development of scalable web applications that handle complex financial data and workflows. This is a hybrid role requiring three days a week in our NYC office, fostering collaboration and rapid iteration. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the React ecosystem and a proven track record of delivering high-quality software in the financial services sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Advanced Frontend Development: You will architect and maintain sophisticated web applications using React.js. Your focus will be on creating components that are not only visually appealing but also highly performant under heavy data loads.
- Collaboration and Mentorship: Working closely with UI/UX designers, you will translate complex requirements into seamless user experiences. As a senior member of the team, you will conduct rigorous code reviews and mentor junior developers, ensuring the highest standards of code quality.
- Optimization and Scalability: Financial applications require extreme precision and speed. You will optimize applications for maximum scalability, ensuring that our platforms can handle the demands of modern investment banking.
- Domain Integration: A significant portion of your work will involve incorporating domain-specific requirements related to investment banking workflows. This includes visualizing complex financial data and ensuring the security and integrity of the information presented.
- Technical Leadership: You will stay at the cutting edge of frontend technology, particularly within the React ecosystem and the financial services industry. Your expertise will guide our technology roadmap and troubleshooting efforts.
- Full-Stack Synergy: Work closely with back-end developers to ensure seamless integration of APIs and data services, maintaining a cohesive architecture across the entire application stack.
Qualifications and Skills
The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and have at least 10 years of professional experience in frontend development, with a minimum of 6 years dedicated to React.js. Proficiency in TypeScript is highly preferred, as is experience with version control systems like Git. We are looking for a problem-solver with a keen eye for detail and a passion for building tools that empower financial professionals. Experience with financial data visualization and trading platforms will be considered a significant advantage. Compensation & Location
Salary: $170,000 – $225,000 per year (Estimated)
