Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Reinsurance Business Systems Analyst with extensive experience in the reinsurance domain to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering requirements, creating functional specifications, and ensuring the successful implementation of reinsurance systems. This role requires a strong understanding of reinsurance processes, data analysis, and system integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, refine, and translate requirements into functional/technical specifications.
• Lead analysis and solution design for reinsurance processes, system enhancements, and Business As Usual (BAU) items.
• Perform detailed data validation, mapping, and root-cause analysis for premium/claims movements.
• Prepare process documents, workflows, and functional artifacts; facilitate requirement walkthroughs.
• Coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles, ensuring quality delivery and traceability from requirements to test results.
• Act as a liaison between business, IT, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
• Mentor junior team members and support knowledge transfer.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and backlog management.

Must-Have Technical/Functional Skills

• Strong expertise in Reinsurance domain: Treaty, Facultative, Proportional & Non-Proportional reinsurance.
• Hands-on experience with requirements gathering, Business Requirements Document (BRD)/Functional Specification Document (FSD) creation, process flows, and gap analysis.
• Proficiency in SQL, data analysis, and validating premium/claims/bordereaux data.
• Strong understanding of reinsurance accounting (ceded premium, loss recoverable, statements of accounts).
• Experience with UAT/SIT test planning, test case creation, execution, and defect management.
• Familiarity with reinsurance systems (SAP FS RI, SAPIENS SRM Genius or similar) and upstream/downstream integrations.

Generic Managerial Skills

• Strong communication skills for stakeholder management across business, IT, and leadership groups.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams, prioritize tasks, and deliver within timelines.
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Experience Required

• 10+ years of experience in Business Analysis, specifically within the Reinsurance sector.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 per year (Estimated)
