Job Summary
Tanisha Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join our dynamic engineering team in Dallas, TX. This role is designed for a seasoned backend expert with 6 to 8 years of experience in building scalable web applications and high-performance APIs. We are seeking a developer who not only masters the Rails ecosystem but also possesses a strong working knowledge of Python, allowing for cross-functional flexibility within our modern tech stack. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects, influence architectural decisions, and mentor junior developers in a collaborative environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby on Rails code for complex backend systems.
- Develop and support robust APIs that integrate seamlessly with frontend applications and third-party services.
- Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and QA teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems to maintain code quality and performance.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and maintain high standards of software craftsmanship.
- Support the full software development lifecycle, including automated testing, deployment, and post-release monitoring.
- Upskill and integrate Python-based services into the existing Rails infrastructure as needed.
Technical Requirements
- 6-8 years of professional software development experience with a focus on backend technologies.
- Expert-level proficiency in Ruby on Rails and a deep understanding of its underlying principles.
- Strong working knowledge of Python and its application in backend services or data processing.
- Extensive experience with SQL databases, specifically PostgreSQL or MySQL, including schema design and query optimization.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
- Proficiency with Git for version control and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Commitment to writing clean, testable code with a strong emphasis on unit testing and integration testing.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)
