Role Overview
Code Beacons Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Salesforce Developer for a long-term 12+ month contract engagement in Austin, Texas. This is a hybrid role requiring local candidates who can participate in a final face-to-face interview. As a Senior Developer, you will be a pivotal member of an Agile Scrum team, responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex software solutions within the Salesforce ecosystem. You will study information needs, confer with users, and analyze system flows to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable applications that meet the evolving needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain sophisticated software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
- Design and implement system specifications, standards, and programming for the Salesforce platform to ensure high performance and security.
- Participate in the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring all deliverables meet the ‘Definition of Done’ for the Agile team.
- Provide hands-on programming for Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, Aura Components, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
- Document technical solutions, perform root cause analysis for defects, and troubleshoot issues across multiple environments including production and sandbox.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members to ensure seamless solution delivery and participate in peer code reviews to maintain code quality.
- Support application deployment and provide on-call support as required by the project needs to ensure system stability.
- Investigate problem areas and prepare solutions by determining and designing system specifications.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of intensive experience in Salesforce development, including writing Apex programming, Visualforce pages, and Apex triggers.
- Proven expertise in building Aura Components and Lightning Web Components (LWC) to create modern user interfaces.
- Strong knowledge of implementing solutions using Salesforce configurations (no-code) such as Flows, Process Builders, and Workflow Rules.
- 8+ years of experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including coding standards, change control, and version management.
- Extensive experience in assessing Salesforce.com architecture and providing secure, high-performance technical solutions on the Force.com platform.
- Demonstrated history of managing end-to-end technical aspects of Salesforce programs, including Classic to Lightning upgrades and data migrations.
- Experience integrating 3rd party applications using authentication protocols like oAuth and web services (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML).
- Proficiency in core web technologies: HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS within the Salesforce environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience with DevOps technologies, including CI/CD pipelines and build/deployment tools such as Flosum or Git.
- 2+ years of experience creating custom Reports and Dashboards in Salesforce to provide actionable business insights.
- At least 2 years of experience working within an Agile Software Development Methodology (Scrum).
- Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I or II are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment.
Work Environment and Benefits

Compensation & Location
Salary: $155,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)
