Job Summary:

The SAP BASIS Consultant will be responsible for the administration, monitoring, support, and optimization of SAP landscapes. The role ensures high availability, performance, and security of SAP systems while supporting business operations and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer, monitor, and support SAP systems across landscapes (DEV, QA, PRD).
  • Perform system installations, upgrades, kernel patches, and support pack implementations.
  • Manage Transport Management System (TMS) and coordinate transports across environments.
  • Perform daily BASIS operational activities including:
    • System monitoring
    • Background job monitoring
    • Database growth monitoring
    • User administration and authorization support
  • Plan and execute backup and restore strategies.
  • Handle system refreshes, client copies, and system migrations.
  • Ensure system availability, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
  • Coordinate with functional, development, and infrastructure teams.
  • Troubleshoot SAP system issues and work with SAP vendor support when required.
  • Maintain system documentation and operating procedures.
  • Support audits, security reviews, and compliance requirements.

Technical Skills Must Have:

  • Strong hands-on experience in SAP BASIS Administration.
  • Strong SAP Basis architect with S/4HANA experience is a Must.
  • Experience with SAP ECC and SAP S4HANA.
  • SAP NetWeaver
  • Linux/Unix and Windows OS
  • Database platforms: Oracle, HANA DB2, SQL Server
  • Good knowledge of SAP security and user administration.
  • Transport Management.
  • System monitoring tools.
  • Experience with backup, restore, and DR procedures.

Good to Have Skills:

  • SAP HANA administration.
  • Experience with SAP system migrations or conversions.
  • Exposure to SolMan ChaRM.
  • SAP BASIS automation and scripting.
  • Cloud exposure (AWS, Azure for SAP).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline.
  • SAP BASIS certification is a plus.

Mandatory Skills:

  • SAP Basis Core
  • SAP HANA DB Security
  • SAP HANA SQL Scripting

Compensation & Location

Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 per year
