About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior SAP BW on HANA / BW/4HANA Architect to join our team. This is a critical role where you will be responsible for leading the architecture design and delivering end-to-end development of SAP BW solutions. You will play a key part in designing scalable BW/4HANA solutions, performing complex data modeling and transformations, and driving performance optimization and modernization initiatives to ensure our data warehousing capabilities meet the evolving needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture design for SAP BW on HANA and BW/4HANA solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Develop and implement end-to-end BW/4HANA solutions, from data acquisition to reporting.
- Perform expert-level data modeling using ADSOs, Composite Providers, and other BW/4HANA objects.
- Implement and optimize data transformations to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Drive performance tuning initiatives for BW on HANA and BW/4HANA environments.
- Oversee modernization efforts for existing BW systems, migrating to BW/4HANA where appropriate.
- Ensure efficient data acquisition using various methods including ODP, SLT, and standard extractors.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP BW/4HANA features, best practices, and industry trends.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Senior SAP BW on HANA / BW/4HANA Architect or similar role.
- Extensive hands-on expertise in designing and developing BW on HANA and BW/4HANA solutions.
- Deep understanding of data modeling concepts and practical experience with ADSOs, Composite Providers, and complex transformations.
- Strong experience in HANA optimized modeling techniques and performance tuning.
- Proficiency in data acquisition methods, including ODP, SLT, and SAP Extractors.
- Familiarity with embedded analytics and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) is a significant plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical teams and business users.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

- This is a contract position based in Washington, DC.
