Job Overview:
We are looking for a Senior/Lead SAP MDG Technical Consultant with over 10 years of SAP experience, focusing on SAP Master Data Governance (MDG). The role involves designing, building, and supporting SAP MDG solutions across various domains including Business Partner (BP), Customer, Vendor, Material, Finance (GL/Cost Center), and custom objects. The consultant will lead technical design and development, drive integration with ECC/S/4 and non-SAP systems, ensure data quality and governance workflows, and support deployments, upgrades, and hypercare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end MDG technical solution design, including Data Modeling, UI configuration, workflow strategy, and integration architecture.
- Define technical standards, naming conventions, transports strategy, and performance guidelines.
- Support MDG on S/4HANA and/or MDG on ECC landscapes, including multi-system scenarios.
- Configure and troubleshoot MDG workflows, agent determination, substitutions, escalation logic, and integration with organizational structure/roles.
- Configure and support replication frameworks (DRF), including Data Replication Framework configuration, Replication models, filters, key mapping, and value mapping.
- Implement and improve Data validation, duplicate check, and enrichment logic.
- Support data cleansing strategy and governance KPIs (completeness, accuracy).
- Configure/extend Change Request (CR) types, steps, actions, validations/derivations, Editability, field properties, defaulting rules, required fields, and BRF+ rules for validations, derivations, and decision logic.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of SAP experience with a strong focus on SAP MDG.
- Proven experience in designing, building, and supporting SAP MDG solutions.
- Expertise in Data Modeling, UI configuration, and workflow strategy within SAP MDG.
- Experience with integration of MDG with SAP ECC/S/4HANA and non-SAP systems.
- Strong understanding of data governance principles and data quality management.
- Experience with DRF (Data Replication Framework) and replication models.
- Proficiency in configuring and extending CR types, BRF+ rules, and validation/derivation logic.
- Experience supporting MDG on S/4HANA and/or MDG on ECC landscapes.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with data cleansing strategies and governance KPIs.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and security automation.
- Familiarity with container security (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with security compliance frameworks such as NIST, CIS Benchmarks, and GDPR.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 per year (Estimated)
