Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP SD Consultant with 15+ years of deep hands-on experience across Sales & Distribution, pricing, rebates, revenue recognition, and SDMM/FI integration. The ideal candidate will also possess strong service contract management experience, including periodic and milestone billing, Value Contracts and the related items and strong exposure to SAP Fiori apps relevant to OTC and contract processes.

This role will collaborate with business partners, solution architects, ABAP developers, and cross-functional GIS teams to deliver enhancements, support projects, and optimize global SAP landscape.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 15+ years SAP SD hands-on functional experience.
  • Strong configuration expertise in:
    • Sales order management
    • Pricing procedures & enhancements
    • Rebates
    • Service contracts with periodic & milestone billing
    • Value contracts (with/without assortments)
    • Revenue allocation and recognition
  • Strong SAP Fiori functional experience.
  • Deep SD integration expertise with MM and FI/CO.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in hightech or semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Exposure to S/4HANA OTC, BRF+, and S/4 Revenue Recognition.
  • Knowledge of intercompany billing, consignment, and service-based sales.
  • Experience in SAP RAR or advanced revenue accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Order-to-Cash (OTC) Functional Expertise
    • Lead SAP sales order processing, delivery, billing, returns, credit/debit memos, and global OTC workflows.
    • Gather and document requirements, design solutions, and create functional specifications for enhancements.
    • Perform configuration, testing, and production support for all SD components.
  2. Pricing Configuration & Technical Enhancements
    • Configure end-to-end SD pricing, including pricing procedures, access sequences, condition records, and custom pricing logic.
    • Collaborate with ABAP teams on BADIs, user exits, and pricing-related enhancements.
    • Support complex pricing use cases, customer-specific pricing, and intercompany scenarios.
  3. Rebates & Incentive Management
    • Implement and support SD rebates, including condition contract setup, accruals, settlement processes, and financial reconciliation.
    • Partner with Finance on rebate reporting, alignment with accounting, and settlement accuracy.
  4. Revenue Allocation & Revenue Recognition
    • Configure and support revenue allocation rules and event-based revenue recognition.
    • Collaborate closely with FI/CO on deferred revenue, multi-element arrangements, and alignment to accounting standards.
  5. SAP Contracts (Critical Requirement)
    • Lead end-to-end functionality for:
      • Service Contracts, including:
        • Contract creation
        • Periodic billing
        • Milestone billing
        • Usage-based or time-based contract scenarios
      • Value Contracts with or without assortment modules.
    • Strong functional knowledge of contract lifecycle, document flow, billing plans, settlement logic, and consumption monitoring.
    • Experience troubleshooting contract issues and optimizing complex contract configurations.
  6. SAP Fiori
    • Strong experience using and enabling SAP Fiori apps relevant to OTC, contracts, billing, and pricing.
    • Ability to guide users on Fiori functionalities, app roles, and usability improvements.
    • Good understanding of Fiori tiles, catalogs, and end-user enablement.
  7. Cross-Functional Integrations
    • Partner with Procurement (MM) to support integration scenarios such as:
      • Third-party orders
      • Drop shipments
      • Intercompany flows
      • Stock/Non-stock sales
    • Partner with Finance (FI/CO) on:
      • Billing-to-accounting integrations
      • Revenue recognition
      • Tax processes
      • Credit management
  8. Project Delivery & Operational Support
    • Support global SAP initiatives including rollout, upgrades, and continuous improvements.
    • Perform system configuration, testing, training, documentation, and production support.
    • Provide Level 3 support for critical OTC and contract-related business processes.

Special Requirements

Local to Bay Area, CA required. Must be comfortable working from own laptop. Multiple rounds of interviews.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $70 – $90 per year (Estimated)
