Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Scrum Master to support Data & AI teams across the organization, including cloud data platform engineering, data integration, analytics, and AI/ML initiatives. This role requires a strong servant leader who can enable Agile delivery, foster collaboration, and drive continuous improvement across multiple cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Agile Leadership & Team Enablement
- Act as a servant leader for Data & AI teams.
- Coach teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile best practices.
- Foster collaboration, accountability, and psychological safety.
Agile Practices & Facilitation
- Facilitate Scrum/Kanban ceremonies (stand-ups, planning, retros, reviews).
- Promote outcome-driven Agile practices over rigid processes.
Backlog & Value Delivery
- Partner with Product Owners to maintain and refine backlogs.
- Help break down work into manageable increments.
- Ensure alignment with business goals.
Flow Metrics & Continuous Improvement
- Track metrics such as cycle time, throughput, and flow trends.
- Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives.
Impediment Resolution
- Identify and remove team blockers.
- Address systemic issues impacting delivery.
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Coordinate across data engineering, analytics, and business teams.
- Manage dependencies and improve communication.
Agile Tooling
- Utilize Azure DevOps (Boards, Sprints, Dashboards).
- Maintain visibility into work progress and delivery outcomes.
Technical Environment:
- Data Platforms: Snowflake, Azure
- Data Processing: ETL / ELT pipelines
- AI/ML Initiatives
- DevOps & CI/CD practices
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5-8+ years as Scrum Master / Agile Coach.
- 2+ years supporting Data Engineering / AI / Platform teams.
- Strong understanding of Agile (Scrum, Kanban, Hybrid models).
- Experience with cross-team coordination and dependency management.
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-based workflows.
Certifications (Preferred):
- CSM
- PSM II
- SAFe Scrum Master
Special Requirements
Hybrid role (3-4 days onsite). Virtual interviews. Experience with Data Engineering, AI/ML, DevOps, CI/CD preferred. CSM, PSM II, or SAFe Scrum Master certifications preferred.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $60 – $80 per year (Estimated)
