About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior SDET Test Automation Engineer with over 10 years of experience in software testing and automation. This role is based in Reston, VA, with a hybrid work model requiring 3 days onsite. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills in Java and/or Python, extensive experience with automation frameworks like Selenium, Selenide, Rest-Assured, JUnit/TestNG, and Karate. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and robust test automation frameworks, ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms like AWS is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and maintainable test automation frameworks.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented test automation code using Java and/or Python.
  • Develop and execute automated test cases for various application layers (UI, API, etc.).
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab).
  • Collaborate with development teams to understand software architecture and identify testing needs.
  • Perform root cause analysis of test failures and bugs.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and tools.
  • Ensure comprehensive test coverage for microservices and cloud-based applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to test environments and execution.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and share best practices in test automation.
  • Participate in code reviews for test automation scripts.
  • Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in software testing and automation.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Java and/or Python.
  • Expertise with Selenium, Selenide, Rest-Assured, JUnit/TestNG, Karate frameworks.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab).
  • Solid understanding of software architecture, microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS).
  • Proven ability to design scalable and maintainable test frameworks.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $110,000 – $160,000 per year

Location: Reston, VA
