Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dallas, TX. This is a critical onsite role requiring a deep technical understanding of the Demandware/SFCC ecosystem. As a senior member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for architecting, developing, and maintaining high-performance e-commerce solutions for a major end-client. With over 10 years of professional experience and at least 8 years dedicated to SFCC, you will lead technical initiatives that drive digital transformation and enhance the customer shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust e-commerce solutions using Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) and Site Genesis or SFRA architecture.
- Develop custom cartridges, controllers, routes, and middleware to extend platform functionality.
- Optimize front-end performance using ISML, JavaScript (ES6+), and CSS/SASS for cross-browser responsive UI.
- Integrate third-party services and internal systems using OCAPI (Shop/Data) and SCAPI, ensuring secure authentication and efficient rate limit management.
- Manage backend scripts, jobs, and the services framework to automate business processes and data synchronization.
- Implement real-time data streaming and event-driven architectures using Kafka, including topic management and schema serialization (Avro/JSON).
- Collaborate with Agile/Scrum teams, participating in sprint planning, code reviews, and stakeholder demonstrations.
- Monitor and tune system performance using site analytics, logs, and APM tools to ensure 99.9% uptime and rapid page loads.
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows to ensure seamless code deployment and automated testing.
Technical Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (formerly Demandware).
- Proven expertise in SFRA (Storefront Reference Architecture) and Business Manager configuration.
- Strong proficiency in server-side JavaScript and modern front-end technologies.
- Experience with API integrations (REST/SOAP) and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka for high-volume data processing.
- Solid understanding of site preferences, custom objects, and the SFCC services framework.
- Excellent debugging skills and experience with performance tuning on both UI and server-side.
Professional Qualifications

Compensation & Location
Salary: $160,000 – $210,000 per year (Estimated)
