Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team in Austin, TX. This is a contract position with a hybrid work model, requiring 2-3 days per week onsite. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of production systems. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure that supports our critical applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions.
- Develop and maintain automation tools and scripts to streamline operations.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations.
- Respond to and resolve production incidents, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve system resilience and performance.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines.
- Conduct root cause analysis for system failures and implement preventative measures.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
- Contribute to the development of SRE best practices and standards.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Go.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Experience with CI/CD tools and practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Must be local to the Austin, TX area.
Contract Details:
- Duration: 4 months
- Rate: $70/hr W2

Salary: $145,600 – $145,600 per year
