Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with a deep focus on DevOps and Platform Engineering to join our team in Scottsdale, AZ. This is a long-term contract position requiring 100% onsite presence, five days a week. As a Senior SRE, you will be at the forefront of ensuring our infrastructure is scalable, reliable, and efficient. You will bridge the gap between development and operations, applying software engineering principles to infrastructure and operations problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and operate containerized applications using Kubernetes and container technologies like Podman and Docker across both on-premises and cloud environments.
- Build and maintain robust Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to manage AWS cloud resources.
- Integrate advanced reliability checks, observability, and automated rollback mechanisms into CI/CD deployment pipelines to ensure seamless delivery.
- Manage and optimize API gateways and shared platform services in a high-stakes production environment.
- Utilize monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk and Grafana to gain deep insights into system performance and health.
- Collaborate with release-focused stores and application teams to support end-to-end delivery and improve the developer experience.
- Apply SRE best practices to enhance system reliability, availability, and scalability while driving operational efficiency.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum of 12+ years of professional experience in IT, with a strong focus on DevOps or SRE roles.
- Expert-level hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and Terraform.
- Solid understanding of Linux systems administration, networking protocols, and modern CI/CD methodologies.
- Experience with Python scripting for automation and platform tooling is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Honeycomb for observability is a significant plus.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $124,800 – $135,200 per year
