Position Summary: Senior Software Development Project Manager
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Software Development Project Manager to lead high-impact technology initiatives in Charlotte, NC. With over 15 years of experience required, this role is designed for a strategic leader who excels in Agile environments and possesses a deep mastery of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). You will be responsible for steering cross-functional teams through the complexities of modern software development, ensuring that every project is delivered with the highest quality, on schedule, and within budget. This position requires a proactive problem-solver who can navigate fast-paced corporate environments while maintaining a focus on continuous improvement and team collaboration.
Core Responsibilities and Agile Leadership
- Serve as a SAFe Scrum Master, facilitating Agile ceremonies and ensuring the team adheres to SAFe principles and practices.
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex software development projects, from initial discovery and planning through deployment and post-launch support.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, balancing resources, timelines, and stakeholder expectations effectively.
- Foster a culture of transparency and high performance by removing impediments and empowering development teams.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals.
- Monitor project progress using advanced tools like JIRA and Confluence, providing regular status updates and risk assessments to executive leadership.
- Drive the adoption of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines to enhance development efficiency and software reliability.
- Mentor and coach junior project managers and team members on Agile methodologies and professional development.
- Ensure all software solutions meet rigorous quality standards and compliance requirements.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 15+ years of professional experience in software development and project management.
- Mandatory SAFe Scrum Master certification.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale software projects in a corporate environment.
- Expert knowledge of Agile frameworks, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and lead diverse teams.
- Strong familiarity with modern software development tools, including JIRA, Confluence, and Git.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks is highly preferred.
Special Requirements
SAFe Scrum Master certification is strictly required.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $165,000 – $215,000 per year
