Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SRE Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, DevOps practices, and extensive experience supporting large-scale eCommerce platforms. This role requires a deep understanding of production systems, performance monitoring, and incident management to ensure the high availability and reliability of our critical applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 10+ years of IT experience with strong exposure to production systems.
  • Utilize strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
  • Leverage hands-on experience with New Relic (APM, alerts, dashboards, performance monitoring).
  • Apply a solid understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and DevOps practices.
  • Support large-scale eCommerce platforms with high availability and transaction volumes.
  • Provide working knowledge of Angular applications from an operational and troubleshooting perspective.
  • Manage and troubleshoot experience with CouchDB / Couchbase or similar NoSQL databases.
  • Apply strong skills in incident management, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and production troubleshooting.
  • Utilize familiarity with Linux, networking fundamentals, and application runtime diagnostics.

Good to Have:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP).
  • Exposure to containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and release automation.
  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) and chaos engineering concepts.

Domain Experience (Preferred):

  • Retail or eCommerce domain, including:
  • Order management
  • Payments, loyalty, promotions
  • Customer identity and profile services
  • High-traffic seasonal sale events

This role is crucial for maintaining the stability and performance of our e-commerce operations, especially during high-traffic periods and seasonal sales events. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring our systems are robust, scalable, and resilient.

Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 per year (Estimated)

Location: Farmington, MA
