Job Opportunity: Senior Technical Specialist & Senior Desktop Engineer
DevRabbit is seeking experienced professionals for two critical roles: Senior Technical Specialist and Senior Desktop Engineer. These positions are based in Sacramento, CA, and require a hybrid work model with in-person interviews.
Role 1: Senior Technical Specialist
Experience: 8+ years Mandatory
Location: Sacramento, CA (Hybrid)
Work Schedule: 5:00 AM – 2:00 PM PST, Monday through Friday.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. (Copy of Degree required)
- 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing network architectures for enterprise-scale environments.
- 5+ years of proven experience in Software Defined Networking (SDN), Software Defined Access (SDA), and Cisco Identity Engine (ISE).
- Proficiency in network protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS, VPN, Firewalls, Load Balancers, Routers/Switches.
- Valid certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CCDE, PCNSE, NSE9, JNCDA, JNCDS-DC. (Copies of certifications required)
Role 2: Senior Desktop Engineer
Experience: 10+ years Mandatory
Location: Sacramento, CA (Hybrid)
Mandatory Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with IT infrastructure design, build, deploy, and support, focusing on desktop, laptop, and peripherals management.
- At least 5 years of experience with design, build, deploy, and management of Desktop as a Service (DaaS) such as AWS Workspace or Windows 365 (Cloud PC).
- At least 5 years of experience with automation and scripting using PowerShell or Python to automate deployments and system builds.
- At least 7 years of experience performing device management utilizing enterprise management suites like Microsoft Intune, SCCM (MECM), and JAMF.
- At least 10 years of experience providing operational support, maintenance, patching, provisioning, software packaging, deployment, monitoring, and incident resolution for Windows and macOS devices and peripherals.
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field.
Desirable Qualifications (for Senior Desktop Engineer):
- One or more of the following or related certifications: Microsoft Windows Server Administrator, Microsoft 365 Endpoint Administrator, Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator.
- Experience providing consulting services to State and/or Federal agencies in the USA.
- Experience implementing endpoint security including BitLocker, Microsoft Defender, etc.
- Experience migrating Active Directory (AD) group policy objects (GPO) to MS Intune policies.
- Experience managing and supporting devices running Windows 11 24H2 or higher and macOS 15 (Sequoia) or higher.
Candidates are required to provide references for all clients and projects from the past 10 years, including Email, Phone Number, Contact Name, Reference Role, and Project Name.

Compensation & Location
