Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Techno-Functional Business Analyst to join our team in Rye, New York, supporting a major utility client, Con Edison. This hybrid role requires a unique blend of technical expertise and business acumen to drive the development and optimization of Distributed Energy Services (DES) and Customer Project Management Systems (CPMS). The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, ensuring that complex requirements are translated into scalable, high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead comprehensive requirements gathering sessions with Product Owners and business stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.
  • Develop detailed technical documentation, including Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with architects and developers to translate business needs into Pega case types, workflows, rules, and UI requirements.
  • Diagnose system application functionalities and provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution support for complex technical issues.
  • Create visual representations of business processes using tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or Miro, including process flows, data maps, and wireframes.
  • Produce and maintain technical artifacts such as System Design Documents (SDD), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and traceability matrices.
  • Perform rigorous data analysis using SQL and Excel Power Query/Pivot to validate system outputs and reporting requirements.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, and Retrospectives, utilizing Jira or Azure DevOps for project tracking.
  • Support UAT planning, test case validation, defect triage, and go-live readiness activities to ensure successful product releases.

Technical Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Business Analyst in a techno-functional capacity.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Pages, and Copilot Studio.
  • Strong exposure to Pega Cloud and enterprise workflow management systems.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data validation and complex data mapping exercises.
  • Experience with utility-specific platforms such as PowerClerk and Project Center is highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to work within Agile/Scrum frameworks and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Background in low-code platform delivery and API integrations.

Soft Skills and Domain Expertise

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering scalable enterprise solutions.
  • Experience in the Energy or Utilities domain is a significant advantage.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining high levels of collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Visa: USC and GC/H4-EAD Only. Locals Only with Driver's License (DL). Interview Mode: In-person/Onsite at Rye, NY. Domain: Energy/Utilities (Con Edison).


Compensation & Location

Salary: $125,000 – $165,000 per year (Estimated)
