Position Summary
We are currently seeking a seasoned Senior Test Lead to join our dynamic team in Houston, TX. This role is critical for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through advanced automated testing methodologies. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and a proven track record of leading testing initiatives in complex, agile environments. As a Senior Test Lead, you will be responsible for defining test strategies, overseeing the execution of automated test suites, and ensuring that all software releases meet the highest standards of performance and security.
Core Technical Requirements
- Extensive experience with Cypress and TypeScript for front-end and end-to-end automation.
- Proven expertise in automated API testing using tools like Postman and specialized frameworks.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for database testing and data validation.
- Hands-on experience working within Azure cloud environments and integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Python testing frameworks and C# development is highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and the ability to lead testing efforts within a Scrum framework.
- Experience in designing and maintaining scalable automation frameworks from scratch.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis on complex defects and provide actionable feedback to development teams.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate between stakeholders, developers, and QA team members.
- Knowledge of AWS environments is a significant plus for cross-cloud compatibility testing.
Leadership and Strategy
Beyond technical execution, the Senior Test Lead will be expected to mentor junior testers and drive continuous improvement in our testing processes. You will work closely with product owners to understand requirements and ensure that test cases provide comprehensive coverage of all business scenarios. Your role will involve evaluating new testing tools and technologies to keep our automation stack at the cutting edge. By fostering a culture of quality and accountability, you will help the organization deliver robust software solutions that exceed client expectations. This position is strictly for local candidates in the Houston area, as it requires close collaboration with the local development hub and participation in on-site strategic planning sessions. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering excellence in every phase of the testing lifecycle.
Special Requirements
Only Local to Houston, TX. Must have 5+ years in Cypress and TypeScript. Experience in Azure environment required.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $130,000 – $175,000 per year (Estimated)
