Job Title: Senior UX Designer Healthcare (Payer & Provider exp)
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior UX Designer with extensive experience in the healthcare sector, specifically focusing on designing solutions for payer and provider platforms. This role demands deep UX expertise, exceptional stakeholder communication abilities, and hands-on proficiency with Figma and other modern UX design tools. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in shaping intuitive and scalable user experiences for critical healthcare applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end UX design process for healthcare products, including claims, eligibility, care management, and provider portals.
- Translate complex healthcare workflows and requirements into user-friendly, efficient, and scalable user interfaces.
- Create comprehensive design artifacts such as user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using Figma.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, clinical staff, and business stakeholders, to ensure alignment and successful product delivery.
- Mentor junior UX designers, foster a collaborative design environment, and contribute to the development and maintenance of UX standards and design systems.
- Articulate and present design solutions clearly and persuasively to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Extensive professional UX design experience within the Healthcare industry, with a specific focus on Payer & Provider systems.
- Expert-level proficiency in Figma is essential. Familiarity with other related UX tools such as FigJam, Miro, or Adobe XD is also required.
- Strong communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale effectively.
- Proven experience working collaboratively with distributed or remote teams.
- Must be available to work during Mountain Time (MT) business hours.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing for specific healthcare domains such as claims processing, Electronic Health Records (EHR/EMR), member/provider portals, or care management platforms.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations like HIPAA, accessibility standards (WCAG), and experience working within Agile development methodologies.
Work Environment:
This is a fully remote position. Candidates must be available to work during Mountain Time (MT) hours. The client is a healthcare organization with a focus on payer and provider solutions.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $70 – $90 per hour (Estimated)
