Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Service Delivery Consultant to spearhead a critical ‘Support Readiness’ engagement for a major client within the logistics sector. This high-impact role begins with an intensive three-month project designed to lay the groundwork for a comprehensive, five-year managed support partnership. The primary objective is to stabilize the client’s existing legacy middleware environment while facilitating a strategic transition to the Boomi platform. As the Service Delivery Consultant, you will be the architect of this transition, ensuring that the support model is robust, scalable, and aligned with global best practices.
Key Responsibilities and Strategic Objectives
- Service Design & Strategy: You will lead comprehensive discovery workshops aimed at designing a best-in-class, ITIL-aligned managed support service. This includes the definition of ticketing workflows, communication protocols, and complex escalation paths.
- Client Leadership: Serving as the primary liaison, you will build deep relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring that the service delivery roadmap remains perfectly aligned with the client’s overarching business objectives.
- Project Management: You will provide agile project management oversight, including the tracking of risks and issues, weekly status reporting, and ensuring all milestones are achieved within the initial 3-month readiness window.
- Deliverable Ownership: You are responsible for the creation and quality of all project deliverables, including operational runbooks and technical documentation that are fit for long-term managed service use.
- Proposal Development: A core output of this role is the authorship of the final Support Readiness Report and a data-driven Managed Service Proposal that will govern the subsequent five-year engagement.
Technical and Professional Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in IT service delivery or consulting.
- ITIL Expertise: Proven track record in designing and implementing IT support models; ITIL certification is highly preferred.
- Middleware Knowledge: Familiarity with application support and middleware concepts is essential, particularly in the context of legacy systems and modern integration platforms like Boomi.
- Industry Context: Experience within the logistics industry is a significant advantage, providing the necessary context for operational challenges.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are required for high-level stakeholder management and technical documentation.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
