Role Overview

Lilli Technology is seeking a highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow ITAM/ITSM Architect for a long-term onsite engagement in New Brunswick, NJ. This pivotal role requires a visionary leader who can bridge the gap between complex business requirements and technical ServiceNow solutions. As an Architect, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of the ServiceNow platform, ensuring that it aligns with the strategic goals of our enterprise clients. This position demands a deep understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Asset Management (ITAM) frameworks, combined with the technical expertise to build and scale complex applications within the ServiceNow ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Platform Governance and Strategy: You will oversee the administration and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability. This includes managing upgrades, clones, and patches while maintaining a clean and scalable instance. You will be the primary point of contact for platform strategy, ensuring that the environment remains scalable and supportable as the organization grows.
  • Custom Application Development: Lead the design, development, and deployment of custom applications on the ServiceNow platform. You will utilize the full ServiceNow suite to create efficient, user-friendly tools that automate manual processes and enhance the user experience for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Enterprise Integration: Manage and implement complex integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems using APIs, web services, and other integration tools. This involves designing the architecture for data flow, ensuring data integrity across systems, and troubleshooting connectivity issues. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define integration requirements and deliver seamless automated workflows.
  • ITSM and ITAM Excellence: Drive the implementation and optimization of IT Service Management and IT Asset Management modules. You will ensure that ITIL processes and best practices are woven into the fabric of the platform, providing clear visibility into asset lifecycles and service delivery metrics.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide mentorship to junior developers and administrators. You will conduct code reviews, establish development standards, and ensure technical debt is minimized through rigorous adherence to ServiceNow best practices.

Technical Requirements

  • Extensive Experience: A minimum of 12+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 10+ years dedicated to the ServiceNow ecosystem and 2+ years in a formal Architect role.
  • Web Technologies: Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other modern web technologies. You must be comfortable writing complex business rules, client scripts, and UI policies.
  • Module Expertise: Strong understanding of ServiceNow modules, including ITSM, CSM, and ITAM. Experience with CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping is highly preferred.
  • Certifications: Must hold ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) credentials. Additional certifications in ITSM or ITAM are a significant advantage.
  • Database Knowledge: Solid understanding of database concepts and SQL for complex reporting, data migration, and performance tuning tasks.

Soft Skills and Professionalism

Beyond technical prowess, the ideal candidate possesses excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. You should be a problem-solver by nature, thriving in fast-paced environments where agility and precision are paramount. Experience working within Agile/Scrum methodologies is essential for success in this role, as you will be collaborating with diverse teams to deliver high-impact solutions.
