Position Summary

We are looking for a Senior ServiceNow CMDB Business Analyst with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience to lead our configuration management initiatives. This role is pivotal in maintaining a robust and accurate CMDB, which serves as the foundation for our IT operations and service delivery. The ideal candidate will have a deep technical background combined with the business acumen necessary to drive complex ServiceNow implementations in a large-scale enterprise environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for ServiceNow Configuration Management, Discovery, and Service Mapping.
  • Facilitate workshops with senior stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document complex business requirements.
  • Develop detailed process maps and data models to support service mapping and discovery efforts across the enterprise.
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of requirements from inception through to delivery, validation, and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with ServiceNow developers and architects to ensure technical implementations meet defined business logic and ITIL standards.
  • Oversee the configuration and maintenance of MID servers to support discovery across diverse and secure network segments.
  • Ensure data integrity within the CMDB by establishing governance processes, data certification schedules, and audit protocols.
  • Provide strategic guidance on the use of ServiceNow out-of-the-box features versus custom development to ensure platform scalability.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (4-years) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT Business Analysis, with a significant focus on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Expert-level understanding of ITIL v3 or v4 frameworks and industry best practices.
  • Proven track record of successful ServiceNow CMDB and Service Mapping implementations in complex environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of ServiceNow Discovery, including its application in hybrid cloud and containerized environments.
  • Experience working within Agile/SCRUM methodologies and using tools like Jira or ServiceNow Agile 2.0.
  • Technical proficiency with networking protocols such as SNMP, REST, SOAP, TCP, and HTTP.
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow Integration Hub and API-based integrations with external systems.

Special Requirements

10 Years experience required; Experience in Agile SCRUM methodology.


Compensation & Location

Salary: $70 – $90 per year (Estimated)

Location: Philadelphia, PA
