Role Overview
RD Solutions Inc. is looking for a Senior ServiceNow Developer for a remote contract engagement. This role is tailored for a seasoned professional with at least 9 years of industry experience who can take full ownership of the ServiceNow platform’s development and integration. In the 2026 landscape, ServiceNow has evolved into a central nervous system for enterprise operations, and we need a developer who can leverage the full power of the NOW platform to drive business efficiency. The candidate must be hands-on, capable of writing optimal code, and possess the analytical skills to solve complex architectural challenges. This is a high-impact role that requires a deep understanding of both the technical and functional aspects of the ServiceNow ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and customize ServiceNow applications, including Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, and Script Includes.
- Design and implement complex integrations using REST APIs and other web services to connect ServiceNow with external systems.
- Build custom applications on the NOW platform to meet specific business requirements that go beyond out-of-the-box functionality.
- Utilize UI Builder and ServiceNow Portal to create intuitive and modern user interfaces for employees and customers.
- Monitor and optimize platform performance using ServiceNow Performance Analytics and other diagnostic tools.
- Stay updated with the latest ServiceNow platform upgrades (e.g., Xanadu, Yokohama) and lead the implementation of new features.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and scalable solutions.
- Ensure code quality and platform stability through rigorous testing and adherence to ServiceNow best practices.
Technical Requirements and Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 9 years of overall industry experience, with at least 6 years specifically focused on ServiceNow. A minimum of 3 years of dedicated NOW platform development and 2 years of integration experience (REST, SOAP, etc.) is required. You must be proficient in JavaScript and other ServiceNow scripting languages. Experience with Custom App development is a significant advantage. We are looking for someone who is not just a configurator but a true developer who can write clean, efficient, and maintainable code. Exposure to ServiceNow Portal, UI Builder, and Performance Analytics is highly desirable. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment are essential for success in this role.
