Role Overview
RulesIQ is seeking a highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow Developer for a long-term contract engagement in Reston, VA. This role is critical for our client in the Telecom sector, focusing on the development and configuration of ServiceNow applications to meet complex business process requirements. The ideal candidate will serve as a technology subject matter expert, collaborating with architects and technical leads to implement design recommendations that enhance user experience and streamline enterprise operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and configure ServiceNow applications and modules in alignment with architectural guidelines.
- Hands-on implementation and management of ITOM and ITSM modules to ensure robust service management.
- Develop and maintain complex workflows, business rules, client scripts, and UI policies.
- Utilize ServiceNow Integration Hub and Flow Designer to create seamless integrations with external enterprise systems via APIs and web services.
- Manage and optimize CMDB, OMT, TSOM, TSM, TNI, and SOMT components.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of all developed solutions to ensure high performance and functionality.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Stay abreast of the latest ServiceNow releases and industry trends to continuously improve development practices.
- Document all technical solutions, workflows, and configurations to maintain a comprehensive knowledge base.
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance to ensure platform stability.
Technical Requirements
- Extensive experience with ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM modules is mandatory.
- Proven expertise in OMT, TSOM, TSM, TNI, CMDB, and SOMT.
- Strong proficiency in Flow Designer and Integration Hub.
- Experience in the Telecom domain is highly preferred and will be given priority.
- Active ServiceNow certifications such as Certified System Administrator (CSA), Certified Application Developer (CAD), or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS).
- Ability to develop custom applications on the ServiceNow platform from scratch.
Professional Qualifications
- Must possess an active LinkedIn profile for professional verification.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with multiple cross-functional teams.
- Proven track record of making key technical decisions and contributing to project strategy.
- Candidates must be local to Reston, VA, or be able to represent themselves as local for onsite requirements.
- A copy of a valid Driver’s License (DL) is required for the onboarding process.
Special Requirements
Local to Reston, VA preferred (or must represent local). Must provide DL Copy. Telecom background required for high priority. Active LinkedIn profile required.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $190,000 per year (Estimated)
