Position Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented ServiceNow ITAM Business Analyst to join our client’s team in Philadelphia. In the 2026 business landscape, effective IT Asset Management (ITAM) is critical for cost optimization and compliance. This role serves as the vital link between business stakeholders and the technical platform team, ensuring that requirements for Configuration Management, Discovery, and Asset Management are captured with precision and translated into actionable technical stories.

Core Responsibilities

  • Requirement Gathering: Lead workshops with stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and document business, process, and data requirements for ServiceNow ITAM modules.
  • Agile Delivery: Author high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria within an Agile/Scrum framework, ensuring the platform team has a clear roadmap for development.
  • CMDB Governance: Oversee the health and accuracy of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ensuring that Discovery and Service Mapping processes are functioning optimally.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between business units and the ServiceNow platform team, managing expectations and driving platform adoption.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Support the testing effort by defining test cases and participating in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure delivered solutions meet business specifications.
  • Process Optimization: Leverage ITIL v4 best practices to improve Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) workflows.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of practical experience specifically within ServiceNow ITAM modules, with a heavy focus on Hardware Asset Management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of ServiceNow Discovery, including Cloud Discovery and MID server configuration.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL frameworks (v3 or v4 certification is highly preferred).
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools like Jira or ServiceNow Agile 2.0.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical features to non-technical business users.
  • Familiarity with integration protocols such as REST, SOAP, and SNMP.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $120,000 – $165,000 per year (Estimated)

Location: Philadelphia, PA
