We are seeking a dedicated ServiceNow ITAM Business Analyst for a critical 6-month engagement in Philadelphia, PA. This is a 100% onsite role that requires a professional capable of bridging the gap between complex business requirements and technical platform execution. The primary focus will be on Configuration Management, Discovery, and IT Asset Management (ITAM) within the ServiceNow ecosystem. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our IT assets are accurately tracked, managed, and optimized throughout their lifecycle, providing significant value to the organization’s IT governance and financial management.

  • Collaborate with the platform team to develop accurate release estimates and project timelines.
  • Support the testing effort by defining acceptance criteria and participating in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Drive platform adoption by working closely with stakeholders and providing necessary training and documentation.
  • Ensure that the CMDB is accurate and reflects the current state of the IT environment through effective Discovery and Service Mapping.

Technical Requirements

  • Deep understanding of the ITIL framework, specifically ITIL v3 or v4 best practices.
  • Proven experience in Agile SCRUM methodologies and tools.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in requirements gathering for ServiceNow ITAM modules, with a focus on Hardware Asset Management (HAM).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ServiceNow Discovery, including Cloud Discovery and its integration with the CMDB.
  • Hands-on experience with Service Mapping, MID server configuration, and data mapping.
  • Familiarity with Integration Hub and connecting ServiceNow to external systems.
  • Strong grasp of out-of-the-box ServiceNow functionalities and how to leverage them effectively.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, TCP, SNMP, SOAP, and REST.

Professional Attributes

The ideal candidate will be a resourceful self-starter who takes the initiative to achieve project objectives. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential for articulating ServiceNow features to non-technical stakeholders. You must be highly organized and analytical, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced team environment. Adaptability is key, as you will be navigating changing business needs and evolving technical requirements. Your problem-solving skills and results-oriented focus will be critical to the success of this project in the Philadelphia market.
