Role Overview: ServiceNow Solution Architect

We are seeking a highly experienced ServiceNow Solution Architect to lead enterprise-wide design and implementation of complex ServiceNow solutions across multiple modules. As we move into 2026, the ServiceNow platform continues to be the backbone of digital transformation, and this role is pivotal in ensuring that our clients leverage the full potential of the platform. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in ITSM, ITOM (CMDB, Service Mapping, CSDM), and ITAM (HAM/SAM), along with strong integration, governance, and architectural leadership capabilities. This is a client-facing leadership role requiring strategic planning, hands-on technical depth, and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities and Technical Leadership

  • Solution Architecture & Strategy: Lead end-to-end architecture and implementation of ServiceNow solutions. Define architectural roadmaps aligned with business strategy. Design scalable, secure, and high-performance ServiceNow environments. Ensure alignment with CSDM standards and CMDB integrity.
  • ITOM & CMDB Leadership: Architect and implement Discovery schedules, Service Mapping patterns, Probes & Sensors, and Event Rules. Optimize CMDB architecture and data model extensions. Drive platform governance and data quality standards.
  • Integration Architecture: Design and implement integrations using REST / SOAP, OAuth2 / JWT, and MID Server. Integrate with LDAP / Active Directory, SAP, AWS / Azure, Salesforce, and Enterprise monitoring tools. Ensure seamless interoperability and secure data exchange.
  • Customization & Platform Engineering: Oversee configuration and customization across modules. Expertise in JavaScript & Glide API, Business Rules, Flow Designer, Virtual Agent, Predictive Intelligence, and App Engine. Manage update sets, deployments, and governance frameworks.
  • Governance, Security & Compliance: Establish platform governance processes. Define data access controls and role-based security. Maintain performance, scalability, and platform integrity.
  • Leadership & Client Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to clients. Mentor developers and administrators. Conduct architecture reviews and technical workshops. Lead upgrades, patches, and enhancement initiatives.

Technical Expertise and Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in ServiceNow Architecture & Design.
  • Deep knowledge of ITSM / ITOM / CMDB / CSDM and HAM / SAM.
  • Proficiency in REST, SOAP, and MID Server configurations.
  • Strong scripting skills in JavaScript, PowerShell, and Python.
  • Expertise in Discovery & Service Mapping and Workflow Administration.
  • Experience with Reporting & UI Configuration and DevOps / CI-CD pipelines for ServiceNow.
  • Preferred Certifications: ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA), Certified Application Developer (CAD), Certified System Administrator (CSA), and ITIL Certification.
  • Preferred Experience: Cloud integration (AWS, Azure), DevOps & automation frameworks, and experience with additional modules like CSM, HRSD, SecOps, GRC, and SPM.

Special Requirements

Remote (20-30% Travel – Expenses Reimbursed). Multiple openings available.


Compensation & Location

Salary: $185,000 – $245,000 per year (Estimated)

Location: San Jose, CA
