Job Description: Shopify Architect/Consultant

We are seeking a skilled Shopify Architect/Consultant to join our team. This role involves strategic architecture, hands-on development, and technical consulting to deliver scalable Shopify solutions.

  • Strategic Architecture & Assessment: Evaluate high-level business requirements to design and recommend scalable Shopify solutions, including custom architectures, optimal third-party app integrations, and technical roadmaps.
  • Hands-On Shopify Development: Execute end-to-end development, from writing clean, efficient code (Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for theme customizations to leveraging Shopify APIs for complex, custom backend functionality.
  • Day-to-Day Operations & Support: Provide responsive, ongoing technical support to manage daily platform needs, troubleshoot bugs, optimize site speed, and ensure seamless storefront performance.
  • Technical Consulting & Advising: Act as a trusted technical partner to the client, bridging the gap between high-level business objectives and practical, day-to-day technical implementation.

This is an onsite position requiring 3 days a week at the client’s location in Palo Alto, CA. The contract duration is for a specified period, with potential for extension based on performance and project needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Lead the design and implementation of Shopify e-commerce platforms.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Develop and integrate custom features and functionalities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify platform updates and industry trends.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Shopify Architect, Developer, or Consultant.
  • Strong understanding of the Shopify platform, Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Shopify APIs and app integrations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $70 – $90 per year (Estimated)

Location: Palo Alto, CA
