Role Overview: Sigma BI Developer
Tek Inspirations LLC is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sigma BI Developer to join our dynamic team for a long-term remote engagement. This role is critical for a client operating in the Eastern Standard Time (EST) zone, requiring the candidate to be fully available and productive during the standard 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST workday. As a Sigma BI Developer, you will be at the forefront of transforming complex data into actionable business insights, leveraging the power of modern cloud data platforms and advanced visualization tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Sigma BI to support data-driven decision-making across various business units.
- Collaborate with data engineers and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for BI solutions.
- Optimize Snowflake data models and SQL queries to ensure high performance and scalability of the BI environment.
- Implement best practices for data visualization, ensuring that reports are intuitive, accurate, and visually compelling.
- Perform data validation and quality assurance to maintain the integrity of the information presented in Sigma BI workbooks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data connectivity, performance bottlenecks, and report accuracy.
- Stay updated with the latest features and updates in Sigma BI and Snowflake to continuously improve the analytics ecosystem.
Technical Requirements
- Extensive experience with Sigma BI, including workbook creation, data modeling within Sigma, and advanced visualization techniques.
- Strong proficiency in Snowflake, with a deep understanding of its architecture, data warehousing concepts, and performance tuning.
- Expert-level SQL skills, including the ability to write complex joins, window functions, and optimized queries for large datasets.
- Proven experience in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics, with a track record of delivering high-quality reporting solutions.
- Familiarity with data integration (ETL/ELT) processes and how they feed into the BI layer.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining high levels of productivity and collaboration.
