Job Description: Site Reliability Engineer
We are looking for an immediate requirement for a Site Reliability Engineer with a client in Sunnyvale, CA. This is a 6-month project role requiring 5x/week onsite presence. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or an infrastructure-focused role. Strong expertise in AWS and Linux Operating Systems, standard networking protocols, and component troubleshooting is essential. You should be proficient in writing bash/python scripts to automate manual tasks and be proactive with SRE duties and on-call support.
- Experience: At least 8+ years in Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure
- Core Technologies: Strong AWS and Linux Operating System, standard networking protocols
- Scripting: Bash, Python for automation
- Responsibilities: Proactive SRE duties, on-call support
- Programming Languages: Advanced experience with Python, Java
- CI/CD: Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with CI/CD systems
- Automation: Advocate for removing operational load with software
- System Knowledge: Deep systems and infrastructure knowledge
- Tools: Releases, Cloudwatch, Grafana
- Soft Skills: Strong sense of ownership and integrity, clear communication, and collaboration
Essential Skills: BS/MS in Computer Science or Equivalent. At least 8 years in a Reliability Engineering/DevOps or infrastructure-focused role. Strong AWS and Linux Operating System, standard networking protocols, component, troubleshooting skills. Being able to write bash/python scripts to automate manual tasks. Proactive with SRE duties and on-call Support. Advanced experience with programming languages (Python). Passion for designing and building reliable systems. Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with CI/CD systems. Automation advocate – you truly believe in removing operation load with software. Deep systems and infrastructure knowledge. Releases, Cloudwatch, Grafana. Strong sense of ownership and integrity demonstrated through clear communication and collaboration.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $130,000 – $190,000 per year (Estimated)
