Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Snowflake Architect for a strategic 6-week contract engagement. This role is unique as it requires a blend of high-level advisory capabilities and hands-on technical implementation. The successful candidate will work remotely within the United States to support a global digital services consultancy on a high-priority data initiative. As organizations in 2026 continue to migrate to cloud-native data warehouses, your expertise in Snowflake will be pivotal in optimizing storage, performance, and cost-efficiency for enterprise-scale environments.

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide expert-level Snowflake architecture guidance and best practices to senior leadership and technical teams.
  • Evaluate current data storage strategies and implement cost-efficient optimizations to reduce cloud spend.
  • Design and advise on scalable data structures that support long-term analytics performance and data democratization.
  • Support performance tuning and workload optimization within the Snowflake environment to ensure low-latency query execution.
  • Collaborate with analytics and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into technical data solutions.
  • Contribute accurate Level of Effort (LOE) estimates for upcoming data initiatives and project phases.
  • Execute hands-on SQL development, data modeling, and schema design tasks as required by the project roadmap.
  • Advise on data governance and security protocols within the Snowflake Data Cloud.

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of dedicated experience in Snowflake architecture. A strong background in enterprise-scale data warehousing is essential. You must demonstrate advanced SQL skills and the ability to navigate complex data ecosystems. Experience with performance tuning and storage optimization is a primary requirement for this advisory role. Candidates should be comfortable moving between high-level strategic planning and deep-dive technical troubleshooting.

Preferred Skills

Candidates with experience in large-scale Business Intelligence (BI) and reporting ecosystems will be given preference. Specific exposure to Salesforce data environments is highly desirable, as the project may involve integration or data migration from these platforms. Familiarity with data orchestration tools and modern data stack components (e.g., dbt, Fivetran) is also a plus.

Engagement Details

This is a remote position based in the U.S. The initial contract duration is 6 weeks, with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and project needs. While a 40-hour work week is preferred, we will consider candidates available for a minimum of 20 hours per week. This flexibility allows for high-level consultants to contribute their expertise to this critical project. This engagement offers the chance to work on a high-visibility project within a global consultancy, providing significant professional exposure and the opportunity to solve complex data challenges at scale.

Special Requirements

6-week contract, potential extension, 40 hrs/week preferred (minimum 20 hrs/week considered)
