Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Snowflake DBT Tech Lead with 12 to 15 years of overall experience. The ideal candidate will be fully hands-on technically with DBT and Snowflake, possessing excellent knowledge of both technologies. A strong background in the Clinical / CRO domain is highly preferred. This role involves analyzing mappings, working with teams, and resolving reported issues promptly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and hands-on development for DBT and Snowflake projects.
  • Analyze and understand data mappings created by Business Systems Analysts (BSAs).
  • Collaborate with development teams to implement and refine data solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues reported by users or monitoring systems.
  • Ensure the performance, scalability, and reliability of Snowflake data warehouse solutions.
  • Mentor junior team members and promote best practices in data engineering.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in DBT, Snowflake, and data warehousing technologies.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 12-15 years of professional experience in data engineering and related fields.
  • Extensive, hands-on technical expertise with DBT (Data Build Tool).
  • In-depth knowledge and practical experience with Snowflake data warehousing.
  • Proven experience working with clients or projects in the Clinical or CRO (Contract Research Organization) domain.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data governance principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with other data processing and visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $120,000 – $180,000 per year (Estimated)
