Role Overview
Ipolarity LLC is seeking a highly skilled Snowflake Developer with strong Java expertise to join our client’s team in Alpharetta, GA. This is a long-term contract opportunity (12+ months) focused on designing, developing, and optimizing cloud-based data warehouse solutions. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between data engineering and application development, ensuring seamless integration and high performance of Snowflake-based systems. You will work closely with data engineering and analytics teams to deliver high-quality data products that drive business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain robust Snowflake data warehouse architectures tailored to business needs.
- Build and optimize scalable data ingestion pipelines using ETL/ELT processes for diverse data sources.
- Develop Java-based applications and services that integrate directly with Snowflake for real-time data processing.
- Perform data modeling and schema design to support complex analytics and reporting requirements.
- Optimize SQL queries and warehouse performance through clustering, indexing, and performance tuning.
- Create and manage Snowflake stored procedures, tasks, streams, and views to automate data workflows.
- Integrate Snowflake with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP to leverage cloud-native features.
- Implement data security protocols, governance standards, and access controls to protect sensitive information.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement reliability improvements to ensure system uptime.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights through optimized data structures.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in Data Engineering or Snowflake Development.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience specifically with the Snowflake Cloud Data Platform.
- Strong proficiency in Java development for backend integrations and application logic.
- Expert-level SQL skills with a focus on performance tuning and query optimization.
- Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, Matillion, Fivetran, or similar industry standards.
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs and system-to-system integrations.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and related data services.
- Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, star schemas, and dimensional modeling.
Submission Requirements
This position is strictly onsite in Alpharetta, GA. We are specifically looking for H1B profiles (class of admission in I94 must be H1B). Compensation & Location
Salary: $110,000 – $125,000 per year
