Role Overview: Senior Snowflake Developer / Data Engineer
K Anand Corporation is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Snowflake Developer and Data Engineer for an immediate onsite opening in Plano, Texas. This role is designed for a seasoned IT professional with a robust background in data warehousing and cloud-based data solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines and storage solutions within the Snowflake environment, ensuring high performance and scalability for our premium client’s data infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities and Technical Duties
- Architect and implement complex data models and ETL processes using Snowflake and Netezza.
- Develop and maintain high-quality Python scripts for data manipulation, automation, and integration tasks.
- Utilize Unix scripting to manage system-level tasks and automate data workflows within the server environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical data solutions.
- Optimize SQL queries and data structures to improve system performance and reduce processing costs.
- Ensure data integrity and security across all platforms by implementing best practices in data governance.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related issues in a timely manner to minimize business disruption.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 8 to 10 years of professional experience in Information Technology, specifically within data engineering and warehousing.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Snowflake, including performance tuning, clustering, and data sharing.
- Proven proficiency in Python programming for data engineering applications.
- Strong command of Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting.
- Deep understanding of Data Warehousing concepts, including Star/Snowflake schemas and Dimensional Modeling.
- Solid experience with ETL tools and legacy systems like Netezza.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, onsite environment.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
