Position Summary
The Snowflake Developer position in Santa Clara, California, is a high-impact role situated in the heart of Silicon Valley. As organizations increasingly move towards cloud-native data strategies, the integration between operational platforms like ServiceNow and analytical platforms like Snowflake has become a critical business requirement. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of remote work combined with the collaborative benefits of in-person sessions in Santa Clara. Your primary objective will be to architect and maintain a seamless flow of data from ServiceNow—the backbone of enterprise operations—into Snowflake, the leading cloud data warehouse.
Core Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable data models within the Snowflake environment.
- Develop robust ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest data from ServiceNow and other enterprise sources.
- Optimize SQL queries and stored procedures to ensure high performance and cost-efficiency.
- Create and maintain documentation for data architecture and integration workflows.
- Work closely with business analysts to translate reporting requirements into technical solutions.
- Ensure data integrity and security across all platforms.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for data-related issues.
Technical Requirements and Integration Scope
This involves sophisticated data modeling to transform raw ServiceNow tables into optimized schemas for business intelligence and advanced analytics. You will be expected to leverage Snowflake’s unique features, such as Time Travel, Zero-Copy Cloning, and Snowpipe, to build resilient and high-performing data pipelines. The role requires a deep understanding of ServiceNow’s data structure, including its CMDB, Incident Management, and Change Management modules. You will write complex SQL queries and stored procedures to handle large-scale data transformations while maintaining strict performance benchmarks. Beyond technical execution, you will act as a bridge between IT operations and the data science team, ensuring that the data being surfaced is accurate, timely, and actionable.
Submission Requirements and Local Context
The requirement for a LinkedIn profile and passport copy at the submission stage reflects the high level of security and verification required for this enterprise-level project. Local candidates are preferred to ensure alignment with the hybrid schedule and to facilitate closer integration with the local engineering team. This contract provides an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud architecture and to master the intersection of ITSM and Big Data. Successful candidates will demonstrate not only technical prowess in Snowflake and SQL but also a strategic mindset regarding how data can drive operational excellence within a large organization. In the competitive landscape of Santa Clara’s tech sector, this role stands out by offering direct involvement in digital transformation initiatives that reshape how global enterprises manage their internal services and data assets. You will be part of a forward-thinking team that values innovation, automation, and data-driven insights. As a Snowflake Developer, you will also be responsible for monitoring credit usage and optimizing warehouse configurations to manage costs effectively. You will implement data masking and other security features to protect sensitive information extracted from ServiceNow. This role is not just about moving data; it is about creating a reliable foundation for the company’s entire reporting ecosystem. The project duration is contract-based, offering a focused environment to deliver high-value data solutions.
Special Requirements
LinkedIn and passport copy mandatory for submission. LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY. Hybrid work mode. ServiceNow domain experience required.
