Job Description: Software AG webMethods Integration Developer
We are seeking an experienced Software AG webMethods Integration Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise integration solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on expertise in WebMethods, solid Core Java fundamentals, and experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs. Exposure to Python for scripting or automation is an added advantage. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable integration solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain integration solutions using WebMethods (Integration Server, Flow Services, Adapters, Trading Networks as applicable).
- Develop and enhance backend components using Core Java, adhering to object-oriented and coding best practices.
- Design, develop, and consume RESTful APIs for system-to-system integrations.
- Perform end-to-end integration, including message transformation, routing, and error handling.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and other development teams to understand integration requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration, performance, and production issues.
- Support deployment activities across environments and ensure smooth release cycles.
- Write and maintain technical documentation and integration specifications.
- Ensure adherence to security, performance, and coding standards.
Technical Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software systems development (client/server, business systems, web-based applications).
- Extensive hands-on experience with Software AG webMethods Integration platform (versions 9.x/8.x/7.1.2).
- Proficiency in building B2B applications and EAI applications.
- Expertise in handling various document types such as EDI, Flatfiles, XML, and IDOCs.
- Skilled in writing Flow Services and Java Services using webMethods Developer.
- Experience in developing integration applications using various Integration Patterns (e.g., pub-sub, request/reply (REST, WSDL), File sharing, Database, JMS queues).
- Experience in Trading Networks.
- Experience in MWS (My webMethods Server) for monitoring.
- Strong proficiency in Unix and SQL.
- Excellent debugging, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Independent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Strong Core Java fundamentals.
- Experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Python for scripting or automation is a plus.
Additional Information:
This is a full-time, onsite position located in Austin, TX. The role requires a candidate who can work independently and collaboratively to deliver high-quality integration solutions.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 per year (Estimated)
