Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer with specific experience in GemFire to join our team in Plano, TX. This role involves hands-on development and support of systems utilizing GemFire, a high-performance distributed data grid. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java and distributed systems, with a focus on performance tuning and cluster configuration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain applications leveraging GemFire technology.
- Perform GemFire cluster configuration, region design, and WAN replication.
- Conduct performance tuning of GemFire instances.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to distributed systems and caching strategies.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration with enterprise technologies (DNS, LDAP, Load Balancers, etc.).
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
- Work with development teams to ensure efficient data management and caching solutions.
Essential Skills:
- 3 years of experience in Software Engineering or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience with GemFire, including cluster configuration, region design, WAN replication, and performance tuning.
- Proficiency in Java (primary language for GemFire development).
- Familiarity with .NET or other JVM-based languages (e.g., Kotlin, Scala) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, in-memory data grids, partitioning, data eviction policies, and caching strategies.
- Working knowledge of enterprise infrastructure technologies, including DNS, LDAP, Load Balancers, TCPIP, Firewalls, TLSSSL, and certificate-based authentication for troubleshooting and support.
- Experience with CICD pipelines, automation frameworks, and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins) is advantageous.
Desirable Skills:
- Performance Monitoring.
Experience Required:
8-10 years of overall experience.
Additional Information:
This is a contract position with a rate range of $45/hr on C2C. The role requires a solid understanding of distributed systems and experience with performance tuning.

C2C Contract. Experience with GemFire, distributed systems, and performance tuning required. Familiarity with enterprise infrastructure technologies.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $45 – $55 per year
