Job Title: Solution Architect
We are looking for a highly skilled Solution Architect with strong expertise in Spring Boot and microservices architecture to join our team in Plano, TX. This is an onsite contract position focused on building enterprise-grade backend systems and modernizing monolithic applications.
Role Description:
- Strong expertise in Spring Boot for building enterprise-grade backend systems.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Cloud and microservices architecture patterns.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems and scalable backend design.
- Expertise in Domain Driven Design (DDD), service boundary definition, and domain modeling.
- Experience in modernization of monolithic applications to microservices.
- Proficiency in API design and integration using:
- REST APIs
- gRPC
- Event-driven architectures
- Hands-on knowledge of messaging and streaming platforms such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.
- Exposure to cloud-native development, containerization, and DevOps-aligned architectures.
- Strong focus on security, scalability, resilience, and high-performance backend systems.
- Architect and design distributed backend systems using Spring Boot-based microservices.
- Define microservice boundaries, DDD aggregates, and integration mechanisms.
- Lead legacy modernization initiatives, transforming monoliths into cloud-native microservices.
- Provide technical leadership, including:
- Architecture governance
- Design reviews
- Code reviews
- Best practice enforcement
- Design and govern API standards and event-driven integration patterns.
- Collaborate closely with Cloud, DevOps, Platform Engineering, and Security teams.
- Ensure backend architectures meet scalability, reliability, performance, and security standards.
