Position Summary
We are looking for three highly experienced Solution Architects to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. This 100% remote role requires deep expertise in the Esri Utility Network and a proven track record of delivering enterprise-level architectures for utility clients. As a top-level technical expert, you will be responsible for developing strategic roadmaps, creating high-level architectural specifications, and providing technical leadership for large-scale systems implementation and integration projects.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive technology roadmaps for utility clients to modernize their GIS and asset management systems.
- Design and document Enterprise Architectures that align with client business goals and technical requirements.
- Serve as the primary technical authority on projects, addressing complex compatibility concerns and architectural issues.
- Provide overall technical leadership for systems implementation, ensuring all deliverables meet high-quality standards.
- Manage the full lifecycle of technical deliverables, including use-case development, requirements gathering, and validation.
- Direct software development teams and quality assurance personnel to ensure technical specifications are accurately implemented.
- Create and maintain detailed programmatic and technical documentation to support project planning and execution.
- Manage and document system configurations and various architectural views to ensure transparency and maintainability.
- Mentor senior and entry-level engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Information Technology, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 8 to 14 years of professional experience in utility consulting or large-scale technology projects.
- Mandatory experience with Esri Utility Network; candidates without this will not be considered.
- Proven ability to manage architectural specifications and lead requirements gathering sessions.
- Experience with Asset and Work Management Systems, ArcGIS Geometric Network Management, and ArcGIS Pipeline Referencing.
- Familiarity with Integrity Management Software such as DIMP or TIMP.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Industry & Travel Expectations
- Deep understanding of utility business processes, specifically within the electric or gas distribution industries.
- While the role is 100% remote, business travel may be required up to 50% of the time depending on specific client and project needs.
Special Requirements
LinkedIn ID with profile picture required, Virtual interview mode, Contract to hire, 50% business travel possible, Esri Utility Network experience mandatory.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $160,000 – $220,000 per year (Estimated)
