Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect with a deep background in the MSO/Telecommunications sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the solution vision and documenting architectures that bridge business capabilities with technical systems. This role requires a “full-stack” architectural mindset—the ability to lead large, matrixed teams, drive end-to-end integration strategy, and ensure that complex enterprise solutions (including COTS and SaaS) align with long-term strategic roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architectural Vision: Develop and document the solution architecture, encompassing capability-to-systems mapping and integration strategies in collaboration with SMEs and IT delivery teams.
- End-to-End Lifecycle Engagement: Actively participate in all project phases—from intake and feature definition to implementation—to ensure consistency with the architecture blueprint and minimize rework.
- Requirements Translation: Facilitate requirements analysis and design sessions. Translate business pain points into robust system requirements that align with the enterprise vision.
- Systems Integration: Drive the technical design of interfaces and document end-to-end data flows. Oversee the integration of complex 3rd party solutions, COTS, and SaaS platforms.
- Technical Leadership: Lead large, matrix-managed technical teams, including multiple vendors. Ensure that all dependencies are resolved and that features delivered do not negatively impact concurrent projects.
- R&D and Quality: Conduct research, proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and compatibility tests for new technology introductions. Define non-functional requirements including performance, security, and operational standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Core Technical Requirements:
- Experience: 12+ years in IT, with specific expertise in at least three areas: Architecture, Design, Development, Testing, or Application Support.
- Industry Expertise: 4+ years of MSO/Telecommunications experience, specifically with BSS (Business Support Systems) and Solutions Architecture.
- Enterprise Design: 4+ years of experience architecting large-scale enterprise solutions and 2+ years working on strategic end-to-end roadmaps.
- Hands-on Background: Strong development and integration background using Angular, Spring, Spring Boot, J2EE, API Gateway, MySQL, and Distributed Systems Architecture.
- System Integration: 2+ years of experience integrating complex platforms including COTS and SaaS using industry-standard frameworks.
- Standards & Frameworks:
- Knowledge of industry standards such as TMF, MEF, ITIL, IETF, or IEEE is highly desired.
- Leadership & Soft Skills:
- Proven ability to communicate effectively at both the developer and executive leadership levels.
- Experienced in driving complex, full-stack solutions and understanding how architectural decisions impact delivery timelines and business value.
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $70 – $90 per year (Estimated)
