Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled SQL and Power BI Developer to join our team. This is a hybrid role based in Raleigh, NC, offering the opportunity to work on exciting data visualization and analysis projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL, Power BI, and data modeling, with a passion for transforming data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, design, and implement Power BI dashboards and reports to meet business requirements.
- Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to extract and manipulate data from various sources.
- Design and optimize data models for Power BI, ensuring data integrity and performance.
- Utilize DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) to create custom calculations and measures within Power BI.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business needs, and translate them into technical solutions.
- Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive business decisions.
- Ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance with data governance policies.
- Experience with ETL processes and data integration techniques is a plus.
- Knowledge of Power BI security features and governance best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power BI reports, data sources, and performance.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience as a SQL Developer and Power BI Developer.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and optimizing performance.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI, including report and dashboard development, DAX, and data modeling.
- Experience with data modeling and database design principles.
- Familiarity with ETL processes and data integration.
- Understanding of Power BI security and governance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AWS Data Lake or other cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of Python, Java, or C#.
- Experience with ODBC and on-premise data gateways.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $90,000 – $130,000 per year
