Job Description: SQL Server DBA
Tekwings LLC is seeking a skilled SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) for a hybrid role with the State of Texas, located in Austin, TX. This position requires a candidate who is local to Texas and can work onsite 3 days a week. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing, maintaining, and optimizing SQL Server environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server database software.
- Monitor database performance and tune for optimal efficiency.
- Implement and maintain database security, including user access and permissions.
- Perform regular database backups and disaster recovery planning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
- Develop and maintain SSIS packages for data integration.
- Create and maintain SSRS reports.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure database design and performance meet application requirements.
- Provide support for State and Federal client projects.
- Ensure compliance with all State of Texas IT policies and procedures.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 13+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA.
- Strong expertise in SQL Server, SSIS, and SSRS.
- Proven experience in database performance tuning and optimization.
- Proficiency in backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Experience with database security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Requirements:
- Must be LOCAL TO TEXAS and currently reside in Texas.
- Hybrid work model: 3 days per week in the Austin, TX office.
- Active Texas Driver’s License and LinkedIn profile are required for submission.
- Candidates who are currently out of state and planning to move to Texas will not be considered.
- State/Federal client experience is preferred.
- NO C2C or 1099 profiles will be considered.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $90,000 – $130,000 per year
