- Write and execute comprehensive unit and integration tests to maintain high code quality and minimize production defects.
- Collaborate closely with business analysts, project managers, and quality assurance teams to validate requirements and ensure the final product meets stakeholder expectations.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior developers and participate in code reviews to maintain development standards across the team.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
Technical Requirements and Qualifications
- Extensive experience in professional software development, with a primary focus on the Appian platform or similar low-code environments.
- Mandatory Appian Level 2 Developer Certification; candidates without this certification will not be considered for the senior-level designation.
- Proven expertise in designing complex process models, records, reports, and sites within the Appian ecosystem.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
- Experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is highly desirable for advanced UI customization.
- Demonstrated ability to work within an Agile/Scrum framework, managing backlogs and delivering incremental value.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for interacting with technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
Education and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is required.
