About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr AWS Data Engineer to join our team in Atlanta, GA. This is a hybrid role where you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and infrastructure on the AWS cloud platform. You will work with a variety of AWS services to ensure data quality, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain batch and streaming ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS services such as Glue, Lambda, and Step Functions.
  • Implement data ingestion frameworks from diverse sources including APIs, databases, and streaming platforms.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and security across all data pipelines.
  • Build and optimize data lakes and data warehouses leveraging Amazon S3, Redshift, Athena, and Lake Formation.
  • Collaborate effectively with data scientists, data analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable and actionable datasets.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
  • Stay updated with emerging AWS technologies and recommend improvements to our data architecture and processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10-12+ Years of IT Experience.
  • Strong experience with core AWS cloud services including S3, Glue, Redshift, EMR, Kinesis, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, Athena, SNS, and SQS.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, schema design, and performance tuning techniques.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices and tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Experience with security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and compliance.

Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 per year (Estimated)
