Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Lead with a strong background in AWS cloud technologies to join our team in Fort Mill, SC. This hybrid role requires a minimum of 14 years of professional experience in data engineering and leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable data architectures and pipelines. You will lead technical teams to deliver high-quality data solutions that drive business value while ensuring data security and compliance.
Technical Requirements
- Expertise in AWS ecosystem services including Glue, Lambda, S3, and Redshift.
- Advanced proficiency in Python or Java for data handling and system integration.
- Strong SQL skills for complex querying and data manipulation.
- Experience in optimizing Spark jobs for performance and cost-efficiency.
- Proven track record in planning and executing migrations, specifically Sqoop-to-Glue transitions.
- Deep understanding of data architecture principles and scalable pipeline design.
Leadership and Compliance
- Lead and mentor data engineering teams in best practices for cloud-based data solutions.
- Ensure data quality and integrity across all platforms and pipelines.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and internal security standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements and project roadmaps.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of data projects from conception to deployment.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $165,000 – $215,000 per year (Estimated)
