Job Title: Sr Data Migration Engineer

Our Fortune 500 client is seeking a highly skilled Sr Data Migration Engineer for their project based in the DC, MD, VA area. This is a long-term, hybrid role requiring a strong background in data migration, ETL processes, and data management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement data migration strategies and solutions.
  • Perform ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using tools like Informatica or Talend.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability throughout the migration process.
  • Participate in all project meetings, including kickoff, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and stakeholder reviews.
  • Adhere to cybersecurity and data protection policies.
  • Work onsite when directed by the client.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be U.S.-based.
  • Possess relevant certifications such as SN CSA+ and an ETL certification (Informatica/Talend).
  • Experience with data migration projects.
  • Familiarity with data management architectures and software.
  • Ability to turn data into critical information and knowledge for business decision-making.
  • Strong understanding of business processes to identify and address critical business issues.
  • Experience in building and maintaining data lakes, data marts, and data warehouses.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing dashboards, alerts, and business analytics solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Must pass background checks.
  • Willingness to work onsite as required.
  • Compliance with all client cybersecurity and data protection policies.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $100,000 – $150,000 per year (Estimated)

Location: Washington, DC
