Position Summary
BlueSpace Technologies INC is seeking a seasoned Sr. DevOps Engineer Lead for a high-level consulting engagement. This role is specifically designed for a technical leader with over 13 years of professional experience in the IT industry, with a deep specialization in infrastructure automation, cloud architecture, and DevOps methodologies. This is a Corp-to-Corp (C2C) opportunity, and we are looking for a consultant who can provide immediate strategic value to our preferred partners. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading large-scale digital transformation projects and managing complex, high-availability production environments. While the consultant is currently based in Houston, TX, this role requires a professional who is willing to relocate if necessary and can demonstrate a high level of technical proficiency from day one.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of automated CI/CD pipelines to support rapid software delivery cycles.
- Architect and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Oversee containerization and orchestration strategies using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, or GKE).
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi to ensure environment consistency.
- Drive the adoption of DevSecOps practices, integrating security scanning and compliance checks into the automated pipeline.
- Manage configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet to automate server provisioning and maintenance.
- Establish robust monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
- Collaborate with software development and QA teams to optimize application performance and ensure system reliability.
Required Expertise and Qualifications
- Minimum of 13 years of experience in Information Technology, with at least 8 years focused on DevOps and Infrastructure Engineering.
- Expert-level knowledge of Linux/Unix administration and advanced scripting capabilities in Python, Bash, or Go.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale microservices architectures and distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, load balancing, DNS, and cloud security best practices.
- Experience with database administration and optimization (SQL and NoSQL) within a DevOps context.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for executive leadership.
- Willingness to share passport details for verification and compliance purposes.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $180,000 – $250,000 per year (Estimated)
