Role Overview: Senior GRC Engineering Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) Engineer to join our dynamic team in San Jose, CA. This role is pivotal in building and maintaining a state-of-the-art compliance automation platform designed to provide a comprehensive, real-time view of the organization’s compliance posture. As a senior member of the engineering team, you will take full ownership of software development activities, from initial concept and fast prototyping to full-scale implementation and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities and Technical Scope
- Platform Development: Design and build robust compliance automation tools that streamline reporting and monitoring across the enterprise.
- Full-Stack Engineering: Utilize a modern tech stack including Node.js for backend services, React.js for frontend interfaces, and PostgreSQL for data management.
- Innovation: Research industry trends and introduce new insights to improve existing reporting tools and internal portals such as SharePoint and Wiki.
- Architecture & Design: Define team goals and deliver scalable solutions that balance business requirements with long-term software maintainability.
- Agile Integration: Work within an Agile framework, leveraging CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices architecture to ensure rapid and reliable delivery.
- API Excellence: Design and develop high-performance APIs using frameworks like ExpressJS or Flask.
Qualifications and Experience
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 10-12 years of hands-on design and development experience in a professional software engineering environment.
- Technical Mastery: Expert-level coding skills in Node.js and React.js are mandatory. You must be able to write, debug, and test code with high speed and accuracy.
- Database Knowledge: Strong proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
- Compliance Expertise: While not mandatory, familiarity with frameworks such as SOC 2, FedRAMP, ISO, and PCI is highly desirable.
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.

C2C engagement, 12+ years experience required, San Jose onsite presence.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $150,000 – $165,000 per year
