Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. IT Application Solutions Architect with a Full Stack Engineering background to support the API Platform implementation. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining robust web applications using modern technologies such as Java and Python. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and experience with various methodologies like Waterfall and Agile/Scrum. You will be instrumental in building scalable and efficient solutions leveraging cutting-edge technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation and enhancement of the API Platform.
- Develop and maintain web applications using Java and Python.
- Design and implement solutions using a variety of J2EE technologies including Hibernate, Servlets, JNDI, JMS, JDBC, SOAP, and RESTful web services.
- Utilize concurrent programming techniques to ensure efficient and scalable application performance.
- Integrate Java coding with AWS native services such as Lambda, S3, and Kinesis Stream.
- Work with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like ECS Fargate.
- Implement solutions using AWS services including EC2, Step Functions, and API Gateway.
- Develop and manage data storage solutions using DynamoDB.
- Utilize cloud formation for infrastructure as code.
- Develop front-end applications using Angular and IONIC.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensure high-quality code and application performance through rigorous testing and debugging.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in application development and cloud computing.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Application Development using the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with methodologies like Waterfall, Agile/Scrum.
- Expertise in J2EE technologies: Hibernate, Servlets, JNDI, JMS, JDBC, SOAP, and Rest based Web services.
- Proficiency in concurrent programming.
- Experience with Java coding in combination with AWS native services: Lambda, S3, Kinesis Stream.
- Experience with containerization: Docker, ECS Fargate.
- Experience with AWS services: EC2, Step Functions, API Gateway, DynamoDB.
- Experience with CloudFormation for infrastructure management.
- Front-end development experience with Angular and IONIC.
- Excellent team player with strong analytical, strategic planning, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and a self-starter.
- Desired knowledge in any API gateway solution.
Domain Experience:
- Railroad or Transportation Domain experience is required.
Experience:
- 13+ years of experience in relevant roles.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Special Requirements
USC or GC required. Hybrid work model. Railroad or Transportation Domain experience required.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $135,200 – $145,600 per year (Estimated)
